Being a mother is basically a superpower. To love someone that much, to sacrifice constantly, to be so much for other people, is amazing. Here are 15 signs your mom is the best in the world.

1. She let you throw up on her

Even if you barfed all over her, she cleaned you up and tucked you into bed with a kiss. That's pretty incredible.

2. She loves you even when you don't love yourself

Sometimes it's impossible to love yourself but your mom makes loving you seem easy.

3. She nags you to bring a coat

You might roll your eyes, but you know she does it because she cares.

4. She cleaned your wet sheets

When you woke up with a wet bed, she cleaned you up, found you some clean pajamas and made your bed again with clean sheets. No one wants to do all that in the middle of the night, but your mom was always willing to put you above her personal comfort.

5. She cheered for you in the rain

No matter if she had to drive 500 miles, wake up before the sun or stand in the rain, your mom was your biggest cheerleader.

6. She's your friend

Even though balancing motherhood and friendship can be a challenge, your mom does it with flying colors.

7. She lets you have the last cookie

The best mothers put their children's desires before their own.

8. She accepts your differences

Even though you share DNA, you and your mom don't agree on everything. Even if you argue, you make sure to resolve your animosity and she's fine to agree to disagree.

9. She listens (even when your stories are looong)

If it's important to you, it's important to her.

10. She didn't bring your homework when you forgot it ...

Your mom wanted to teach you responsibility, so she didn't swoop in and save you whenever you messed up.

11. ... But she always had your back

However, you knew you could count on your mom no matter what.

12. She loves you the way you are

Even though she helps you become the best version of yourself, she never tries to change you. In fact, she does everything she can to help you love yourself the way you are as well.

13. She tells you when you messed up

You make mistakes and she doesn't sugarcoat the fact that you messed up. She lets you know when you need to make a change.

14. She says "I love you"

No matter what, your mom wants to make sure you know you're loved, so she tells you.

15. She's basically superwoman

You don't know how this woman does it all, but she does.

Watch the incredible story of Kamla and Sue who mothered one son in different but remarkable ways, in the new Academy Award nominated film, "Lion." When Kamla lost her son, she hoped he would find someone to love him. Sue opened her heart until her son could reunite with Kamla 25 years later.
