The world we live in is God's gift to his children. His love infuses every corner of our universe. We lived with God before we were born. We brought our divine natures with us when we came into this life, and we will take them with us when God brings us home. God is our father. When we listen to the whisperings of his holy spirit, we will know intuitively that we are his children. Thanking God for what we have deepens our love for both him and others.

Public speaker and pilot Dieter F. Uchtdorf described God's love this way: "He loves us because He is filled with an infinite measure of holy, pure, and indescribable love. We are important to God not because of our resume, but because we are His children. He loves every one of us, even those who are flawed, rejected, awkward, sorrowful, or broken. God's love is so great that He loves even the proud, the selfish, the arrogant..."

Get to know him better

Get to know God. Invite him into your life and let him help you reach your full potential. He will guide you through the dark if you are willing to receive his light. God is real. If that concept is a difficult one for you, don't discard it, simply because you don't understand it. There is so much out there that we don't understand.

Seek for his divine aid

Breathe God's life-giving spiritual oxygen. Seek for divine aid. Those around you won't always cheer you on, but God will. Resist the urge to be overwhelmed by your circumstances or your weaknesses. Know that absolute truth exists, and let God's love heal you.

Responding to the real love of God is part of who we are. John H. Groberg, writer, actor, and religious leader has this to say: "When filled with God's love, we can do and see and understand things that we could not otherwise do or see or understand. Filled with His love, we can endure pain, quell fear, forgive freely, avoid contention, renew strength, and bless and help others in ways surprising even to us."

Experience perfect empathy

No one understands more deeply how we feel than God does. Sometimes, we have to "let go and let God." Read his word. Pray to him. Be open to his direction and watch the events of your lives unfold in wonderful ways you did not anticipate.

Find the happiness that comes from connection

In an article written by John T. Cacoppo, Ph.D., titled "Dimensions of Human Connections," he writes, "Using data from the General Social Survey, others have found that closeness in a divine relationship is associated with significantly greater global happiness, life satisfaction, and even marital happiness."

Even research shows that tapping into God's love can actually increase our happiness. God is there. He exists. His arms are outstretched to each of us. He knocks at the door. Will you let him in?
