Once you have a baby, you know your life will never be the same. Your life is no longer your own - it's devoted to loving and tending to this little bundle of joy. But having a baby can bring some unexpected changes as well. Here are six things nobody tells you that change after having a baby:

1. Showers are a treasure

Showering as a mom is a luxury. You cherish those few minutes you have to wash the spit up off and just be by yourself. If you're lucky, you'll even have time to wash your hair.

And while you cherish those moments surrounded by steam, you can't help but miss your little baby - even if it's only been 10 minutes since you saw them last.

2. Your financial priorities change

Of course, having a baby is expensive. Whoever said the best things in life are free has never had a baby ... how can someone so small go through so many diapers?

But soon, you realize that you'd much rather spend your money on cute outfits for your baby than those shoes you've been eyeing for the past few weeks.

3. You learn to love your body

You love your body in a different way than you ever expected to - you might not love those last 15 pounds you can't seem to shake, but you appreciate them for what they mean. Your body grew and cared for this precious child of yours for nine months. You gave birth to this little miracle and you're so appreciative your body could carry your little darling.

Learning to love the stretch marks might take a little time, but you've realized just how incredible your body truly is, and that's something to be happy about.

4. Sex just won't be the same

Your body has changed drastically since child birth, so it'll take some time to figure it out again. Be patient as you and your husband work with what's still painful or sensitive, and talk through how you're feeling about everything. If you two can openly communicate what's going on, it will be easier to move forward with any changes.

5. You probably won't feel as good as you used to

Your body has different purposes now. Your breasts, which once made you feel sexy and flirty, are now there to feed your little angel. They might be a little misshapen and sore, and they'll never be fully restored.

But that's OK. Your husband still sees you as the most incredible, beautiful woman to ever grace the earth, and he loves you for every bit of you.

6. Your favorite thing about your husband will be the kind of father he is

Nothing will make you happier than seeing your husband being a father. You never knew you could love him anymore than you already did until you saw him looking at his baby for the first time.

A relationship definitely changes and faces new challenges when a baby comes along. A couple has become a family, and priorities change. But having a baby together can help strengthen a relationship, if you let it.

You've had a long time to prepare for the fact that once this baby comes along, nothing will be the same. But it can be an exciting new adventure for you and your little family while you adapt and learn to love this new, wonderful life of yours.
