Carrie Underwood recently opened up about the impact screen time can have on children, sharing that she's noticed a difference in her own children's behavior when they consume too much media. "It's such a battle, right? Even television… I notice if they kind of watch too much TV, like they have an attitude shift. And I'm like ‘Why are you moody? What are we doing? Oh…,'" she said while appearing on "Today." The singer admitted that she learned a lot from television and movies herself while growing up, but said that managing how much content her children ingest is much more of a struggle today than it was when she was a child. Not only does she try to manage how much TV her kids watch, she also is worried about cellphones, saying she wants to keep her children away from phones "as long as possible."

Underwood shared that the school her boys attend in Nashville is working on being proactive when it comes to technology. "There's been like a whole grassroots initiative within their school and a bunch of parents getting together and discussing how we can keep our kids kind of away from technology. "Especially like social media and stuff like that, as long as possible," she said.

She shares two sons, Isaiah, 7 and Jacob, 3, with husband, former NHL player Mike Fisher. The pair tied the knot in July 2010 after being set up by her bassist and meeting backstage of one of her shows in 2008. Underwood, who rarely posts her boys on her social media, said that as they have gotten older, they have started to become more aware of her celebrity status. "They have seen me on stage and I feel like the first time my oldest, especially, kind of started having ideas was when his friends would say something and it's like, ‘Oh, that’s different? I didn't know that that wasn't normal,'" she explained. "So they would come home and be like, ‘They said they saw you on TV.'"
