Every so often, there comes a day when it seems as if the whole world is against you. You have a lot on your plate, there are more than enough extra stressors going on in your life, and you have deadlines you must meet. You are tired, lost, and the self-esteem that usually pushes you through your daily tasks is absent.

As humans, we are vulnerable to the trials and tribulations of the world. We cannot always escape our heavy load, and without confidence in your abilities, the heavy load begins to crush you. When you lack confidence, you begin to lose motivation, purpose, and all sense of direction. It is as if someone placed a cement brick in your shoes, and everything you have worked so hard to achieve comes to a complete stop. You have no idea where to turn, what to focus on and how to move forward.

When we find ourselves lacking confidence, there is one thing we must always remember: Though our self-confidence may dim, God's belief in His children does not. Not ever. Not when we make mistakes, not when we fail, and not when we doubt everything we believe in. His faith in you is everlasting and does not change.

See yourself the way God sees you

As our heavenly parent, God hurts for us in our times of trial and in the moments when we doubt ourselves. After all, He created us. Every single one of us. All of us with different strengths and weaknesses. When we forget our divine lineage and are down on ourselves, we doubt our own identity as children of God. When we doubt our abilities and ourselves, we unconsciously doubt Him as well.

Remember that God created you

In the moments of self-doubt, we must learn to look at ourselves in the way our Father in Heaven sees us. In His eyes, we are not the flawed and unimpressive human beings we often see in our reflections, but beings with divine potential and strength to endure all things. As often as we feel lost and confused in the crowded world, it is easy to forget that we are not on our own. God is constantly by your side, supporting you, pushing you, and lifting you up just as any father would.

Feeling completely hopeless and ordinary is one of the many thoughts we all struggle with from time to time. We compare every aspect of ourselves to the world around us, and in that action, we weaken our individuality. Our Heavenly Father did not create us all to be the same beings with the same talents. We are unique individuals with our own respected roles to play on the earth at our own pace. God does not love the A student more than the C student or the professor more than the janitor. His faith in each one of His children is infinite, regardless of our many circumstances.

The challenges God hands us are not meant to make us doubt ourselves but to help us grow to become the people God kows we can be. He does not give us more than we are able to bear.

Do not give up

When you think you cannot succeed, remember who you are. Remember why you started in the first place. Remember where you come from. Remember your strengths and disregard your weaknesses. And finally, ask God to help you see yourself as He sees you. When you truly realize how important you are to Him, what is there to doubt?
