For actress Julia Roberts, family is a priority. In an interview with British Vogue, Roberts opened up about how she was able to put work on pause in order to put her family first. Roberts is mom to twins Hazel and Phinnaeus, 19, as well as son Henry, 16, whom she shares with husband Danny Moder, 54. "Well, I think that the luckiest aspect of my work life/family life is that the success of my work life came earlier," Roberts says. "So by the time I had the success of my family life and had a husband and children who wanted to stay at home, I had been working for 18 years. And so I felt that I had the luxury. I didn't have to pick one or the other." Roberts noted that by the time she had kids, her career had matured, making it easier to put her family first. "So it was easy to pause work life to nurture my home life. And so, because I have girlfriends who were having to juggle being at work and having to go into the bathroom, and you know, get out that breast pump, I sort of went through that with them by proxy. To be allowed the luxury of staying home and being with my family, I had a deep gratitude for that time."

Roberts recently opened up in an interview with Today about how she parents her children now that they are growing into adults. "I parent them the same way out of the house that I parented them in the house, which is, 'Are you getting enough sleep? You sound like you're sick. Are you drinking enough tea? Text me when you get home. I can see that you're home safe and sound,'" she said. "And I have immense amount of appreciation for both of my older kids because they still allow me to be the same mom to them, and it's not eye-rolling. There's a huge amount of understanding." In the interview, Roberts was joined by her "Leave the World Behind" co-star, Mahershala Ali, who asked, "Is it a different discomfort, you leaving and traveling for work and all that? Compared to them leaving and going to college?" Roberts responded to her co-star by saying, "Yeah. And it's funny too, right now me being away," Roberts replied. "And so Henry and Danny are home, and then I'm in another time zone, and then Phinn is somewhere and Hazel is somewhere, and we were all on a FaceTime the other day — together, all of us. And it was so fun. I might have had a towel on my wet head. We were all so happy to be together that way that we still are so deeply in love."

In December, Roberts spoke in an interview with People alongside her costar Mahershala Ali, where they chatted about their new film and shared her family's own surprise TV comfort show. “I discovered a series with my kids, "The Wonder Years," which I had never seen before," said the star. "And boy, did we always look forward to cuddling up with that." Earlier in December, Roberts appeared on "The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon," where she shared that two out of the three of her children are in college. While Hazel and Phinnaeus are having the college experience, Roberts was asked how her youngest, Henry, was handling being the only child at home. “I think it's a good 50/50 split,” shared Roberts. “He's loving it. And I think he misses his people.”
