Finding out you're pregnant is an emotional rollercoaster for many women. Some are absolutely ecstatic, some are extremely nervous, some are shocked and most feel a combination of all feelings.

But when this mom found out she was pregnant, she thought she knew what she had to do. She was a single mom with four kids already at home, and her boyfriend was cheating on her.

Kimberly Henderson decided to have an abortion.

In a beautiful Facebook post, Henderson shared everything that happened on the day of her appointment, and how God spoke to her - giving her signs that she wasn't supposed to abort her sweet baby.

Two years ago today I was sitting in an abortion clinic thinking not having Vaida was best for me.
People remember dates...

She said, "I remember sitting in the abortion clinic for nearly 7 hours. I remember wearing a pink t shirt that was soaking wet from crying." She kept trying to justify her reasons for going through with the abortion, but she also prayed that God would give her one more sign not to do it.

She needed a sign

Earlier that day, Henderson had a difficult time getting to her appointment in the first place, and she thought that maybe God was telling her not to go through with it. "I got up this morning, my daughter was sick I had to find a sitter, I got lost, my car broke down for about 15 [minutes] and I got here late but they still got me in." Henderson wrote about that fateful day.

She sat in the clinic and cried, and said her "heart was heavy." Henderson wanted to walk out the door, but she couldn't find the strength or courage to do so. But when the receptionist called her up to the desk to fill out her paperwork, something happened that changed her life forever.

God spoke to her through a Bible verse

Before her procedure, Henderson needed to show the woman at the front desk her driver's licence. As she "fumbled" through her wallet, a card fell out with the name of a church on the front. According to the post, a couple had left the card on a table when Henderson was working a few days prior, and Henderson slipped it into her wallet. On this day, out it fell.

On the back of the card, there was a verse which read: "Don't be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand." (Isaiah 41:10.)

Then, two of her friends called her and said they would be there for her, and that there was a reason God gave her this answer.

She was blessed with strength and courage

Henderson told the clinic she changed her mind, and started toward the door. Before she could leave though, a "young girl no older than probably 19" said something that Henderson will remember for the rest of her life.

The young girl said, "Are you going to do it?" When Henderson told her she couldn't go through with the abortion, the girl said "I wish I could be brave like you ... When you see your baby's face for the first time you're gonna be so glad you walked out of here today."

The young girl was right

When Henderson saw her 6 lb 4 oz baby for the first time, she knew that the young girl was right. She named her baby Vaida Everly, which means "beautiful life." The loving mom said, "My daughter Vaida Everly has a purpose ... She gave me a feeling of joy that I can't even explain."

Now, Henderson wants everyone to know that when she walked out of the abortion clinic that day, she felt so much relief and strength. "No guilt. No shame. No regrets." She also knows that "God doesn't make mistakes and he is here for you."

Missing this sweet girl like crazy ❤️ #mother #daughter #love

Vaida Everly is now four years old, and she's a beautiful little girl. Henderson is so grateful for her sweet girl, and knows that God was looking out for her that day in the abortion clinic. She says she remembers the day clearly, and says "I think that is God's way of showing me that HIS plan is and will always be greater and bigger than anything and everything I've ever known."
