Steve Harvey recently shut down the rumors that his wife Marjorie Harvey cheated on him and that the two are headed for a divorce. He addressed the rumors while making an appearance at the Invest Fest 2023 where he said, "Before I get started, just let me say, I’m fine. Marjorie’s fine." He continued by saying, "I don’t know what y’all doing, but find something else to do, ’cause we fine. Lord have mercy, man. I sure wish I could cuss though. Sometimes you just wanna respond, but I ain’t got no time for rumors and gossip, man. God’s been good to me, I’m still shining." The cheating allegations surfaced when a popular Youtuber, Keem, shared a post on X, previously known as Twitter, saying that Marjorie had cheated on Steve. "Steve Harvey's wife cheated on him with the bodyguard & the personal chef." The post has since been deleted.

Marjorie also addressed the rumors on her Instagram where she shared an article titled "How To Handle Being Lied About," which featured a Bible verse about not retaliating. "My husband and I don’t usually stop to address all the foolishness and lies that have been spread about us," she wrote in the caption. "However to whom much is given much is required. I understand that with my platform comes some sort of responsibility to those that may not be as strong as we are. Read and share this with your love ones that may not know how to properly cope. God Bless all of you."

Their love story is a classic tale of second chances. The pair first met at a comedy club in 1987 in Memphis, Tennessee where Steve was performing. The comedian remembers the first time he saw her and took the opportunity to speak to her during his set. "The first thing I said to Majorie was, ‘Excuse me, I don’t know who you are, but I’m going to marry you one day,’" Steve said. The pair dated for a year and a half before they went their separate ways. In 2005, they reconnected through mutual friends and gave their romance a second chance. After a yea of dating, Steve proposed and tied the knot two years later in 2007. They have a blended family of seven children: Brandi, Karli, Broderick, Wynton, Morgan, Jason and Lori.
