Have you ever thought about why life has to be so hard? Or why God keeps putting obstacles in your way to happiness? All you see is happy people around you who seem to have everything going their way while you are struggling.

In the middle of life's hardships it can be difficult to see any light at the end of what might seem like a really long tunnel. What needs to be remembered is that the light will come; you just need to have a little faith. In case you need a reminder, these five things are what God wishes you could understand when you are in the middle of life's most difficult trials:

You are not alone

Several times when faced with the dark and twisty tunnels of life, it is easy to think that no one could understand what you are going through. Friends or family might have abandoned you along the way, and you feel truly alone.

This is not true. You are never truly alone because God will never abandon you. He is always there. He sent His son, Jesus Christ to help you with your hardships and give you strength to overcome whatever you are facing.

The prophet Isaiah prophesied of Jesus' great love, saying "Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? Yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee. Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy wall are continually before me."

Though it might seem like you are alone, but you never are. No matter the circumstance, simply pray for God's comfort, and it will come.

He does open a window

Have you heard the old saying when God closes a door, he always opens a window? Well, it is true. No matter how hopeless you feel and how limited your options seem to be, it just isn't so. God always presents opportunities to help create a change for the better. Your job is to recognize those opportunities.

Pray for the ability to recognize these opportunities and to have enough courage to act on the impressions that come to your mind and heart. Pray for God to inspire you to have enough faith to go through the windows He provides.

Miracles do happen everyday

In the days of Moses, the Israelites received manna every morning. The manna was the only source of food they had while wandering in the wilderness. The thing to note about this story is that the manna spoiled at the end of each day, meaning that the Israelites had to look to God everyday for their miraculous source of food.

During the hard times, you too must look to God everyday for the miracle of spiritual substance. Miracles show that God is aware of your situation; these miracles happen in this day and age and give you that same spiritual sustenance the Israelites received.

These miracles could be anything; getting a phone call from an old friend who has a connection to a new job, or your car lasting a little longer so you can use the repair money to pay this month's rent. Both are examples of miracles. Pray for the ability to recognize these instances of God's love. If you pray for your eyes to see miracles, you will see God's hand in everything you do.

Be patient and remember His timing

In the world of "I need it now", it becomes even more important to remember the phrase, "all in His timing". God sees and knows everything. He has a bigger picture for our lives then we can imagine. During life's struggles, it is difficult to remember that. Please don't forget that in the end it will all work out. Just have a little patience.

Pray for the ability to accept His will above all else. If you do lose your patience, pray for the reminder that His plans for your life are better than your dreams. Just trust God.

His love for you never ceases

"For God so loved the world he sent his only begotten son," John 3:16 reads. God sent his son Jesus Christ to suffer for us and to teach us his gospel because God loves us.

Through Jesus we can overcome all challenges. His love for us never ends. No matter how much you have suffered or how many mistakes you have made, His hand is always there to pick you up and dust you off. Never forget that He loves you. Never forget that you can turn to God during all of your hardships.

God's love for you will never end. He will never leave your side. Continue in faith, and brighter days will follow.
