Leah Remini recently opened up in an Instagram post about her emotions while sending off her only daughter, Sofia, to college for the second time, saying, "I'm even more of a mess now." The lengthy Instagram post detailed how her daughter Sofia, 18, had begun attending college in the fall, but the school wasn't the right fit for her. She moved home to finish out her semester before transferring to a new school, where she just moved into an apartment to attend the university. Remini spoke about how difficult it was the first time to send her daughter off to college, but it was even harder the second time.

"In August, our daughter Sofia enrolled in a college she thought was meant for her. I moved her into a dorm room and came home heartbroken to a quiet house. For many reasons, that school didn’t make sense for her, so she left, and we got to have her home for a few more months. A few weeks ago, she started courses at another University, and we moved her into an apartment," said Remini in the post. "You’d think the second time would be easier, but Angelo and I are even more of a mess now. She’s back at it now, going through all the things a first-year college student should be going through, and we, her parents, are going through what parents like us go through. Crying, not knowing what to do with ourselves now other than looking at pictures and videos and crying some more," continued Remini.

The actress has previously posted about the hardships she and her husband have had with accepting change and sending their daughter off to college, but always being sure to talk about how proud she is of Sofia. "Bringing our only child to college for the first time has been the most excruciatingly painful and proudest moment of my life," said Remini in an Instagram post back in September.

Remini tied the knot with Angelo Pagan in 2003 and welcomed Sofia to the world just a year later in 2004.
