Ex-boyband member and “Love Is Blind” co-host, Nick Lachey recently made a dig at ex-wife, Jessica Simpson, during the Season 3 finale of “Love Is Blind.” The comment was made after cast members Matt Bolton and Colleen Reed finished up an update on the current state of their relationship after they married on the dating reality series. It was Reed’s first marriage and Bolton’s second and the pair spoke about how “content” they were with their romance. Lachey followed up saying to Bolton, “It’s always better the second time around.”

Lachey and Simpson were married from 2002 to 2006 and were known as a high-profile “it couple” in the Hollywood entertainment industry in the 2000’s. For most of their marriage, the couple co-starred on the popular MTV reality show “Newlyweds: Nick & Jessica.” Simpson told Vanity Fair in 2009 that she doesn’t believe that being a part of the reality show affected their marriage. “Because we enjoyed watching those episodes, and that will always be a time I cherish,” she said. “It made me understand what marriage is, what love is, what commitment is.”

Lachey co-hosts the popular reality dating show “Love Is Blind” with his wife, Vanessa Lachey, formerly Vanessa Minnillo, who he began dating shortly after his divorce to Simpson in the early 2000s. The two got close when Vanessa starred in Lachey’s music video for his song “What’s Left of Me,” which was a song inspired by his divorce from Simpson. The pair began dating and eventually tied the knot in 2011 and have been married ever since. They now share three kids together - Camden, Brooklyn and Phoenix.

Lachey isn’t the only one who has made digs about their previous marriage. In 2015, CNBC asked Simspon about her biggest financial mistake, where she quickly replied, “For some reason, I thought of my first marriage.”
