Is your hair too frizzy? Too flat? Too dry? Sometimes we don't recognize that our daily hair habits aren't helping our hair, but are damaging it. These simple tips, when added into your routine, will help your hair look and feel healthier.

Take out towels to take out frizz

Avoid using a towel to dry hair or wrapping it in a turban as it can leave hair frizzy. Instead, take an old cotton T-shirt and gently press wet hair to absorb excess water.

Flat hair solution on the fly

Do you have flat hair, but no time to heat style or to use rollers? Switch your part for added volume. Create a side part opposite from your usual part and flip hair in the opposite direction to create natural height and volume.

Painful ponytail?

The hairline is the weakest point of our hair. Reduce stress on the hair line by loosening the tension of your ponytail. When putting your hair in a ponytail, gather hair and push the pony back towards the head before tying with an elastic. This will reduce the tension on the hairline.

When brushing causes more breakage

Prevent breakage by avoiding combing or brushing hair when wet. Let hair air dry or blow dry with a diffuser before bringing out the comb/brush.

Using a masque to moisturize

Maintain hair health, smooth and prevent breakage and split ends by using a deep conditioning masque at least once a week. Try applying one of Macadamia's Professional Weightless Moisture Masques that offers a blend of Macadamia and Argan oils rich in Omega 3,5,7 and 9 Fatty Acids. Such oils will help to heal and improve any hair type and texture you may have.

Practicing these simple habits is the start to ensuring that your hair looks the best that it can be.
